Happy New Year

"Auld Lang Syne" most of know the song, but not the words. Right? Guess what? You're not alone. It is usually sung each year at midnight on New Year's Eve (Day) in the UK, Ireland, the US, Australaia, New Zealand, South Africa, Hong Kong and parts of Canada, India, and Pakistan. It signifies the start of a new year.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, (Should old acquaintances be forgotten)
And never brought to mind? (And never be remembered?)
Should auld acquaintance be forgot, (Should old acquaintances be forgotten)
And auld lang syne! (and days long ago.)

For auld lang syne, my jo, (For days long ago, my dear)
For auld lang syne, (For days long ago)
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet (We'll drink a cup of kindness yet)
For auld lang syne!
(For days long ago!)
