I submitted two manuscripts. The Love Doctor to Samhain. Deadly Inheritance to Ellora's Cave.
November 19, Samhain sends me a note letting me know that my manuscript has been sent to an editor. Now I have to wait 8-10 weeks before I hear anything. (I'm drumming my fingers. Dying to hear from them NOW.)
Today EC sends an email stating I've made it through the first phase, but it could take up to 12 months before a decision is made! OMG!
So, two manuscripts to two fantastic publishers. The wait time anywhere from 2 to 12 months. I'll never make it. IF I do happen to survive the wait, my nerves and fingernails won't. I just don't have the patience. I need to know NOW. I'm one of those instant gratification people. You know, I rip the paper off of the present (if I haven't secretly opened it and then rewrapped it). I know it 's childish. But hey, it's part of me.
But I guess a slow process is better than;
Dear Jayelle,
You stink. Please do us and the world a favor, NEVER write again.
Sigh. I guess I'll wait.

Work on something new. That's my strategy. :D
If things would slow down in my life, I'd like to start something new. By the by, I just started All In. Great read so far. I'll give a shout out when I'm done.
